Ruth Pringle – Biography
Ruth Pringle holds a BA (Hons) in Drawing and Painting, an MFA in Studio Arts, and an MA-equivalent in Art History. She has 15 years of experience delivering English language training.
She began teaching at Southern Illinois University (SIU), delivering undergraduate courses in drawing, foundations, and art history, completing a rigorous teaching certification for graduate-level courses.
After moving to Belgium and then France, Ruth worked for commercial language schools, delivering large-scale language training contracts to government agencies and Nike France. She later combined her art background with ELT expertise to teach English at Art, Design and Architecture schools (undergrad & post-grad).
Back in Scotland, Ruth launched Blue Noun in 2019, offering immersive language learning through real-life practice in local communities.
Jennie Reed – Biography
Jennie moved to Italy in 2010, after earning her BA in German and Italian, where she completed a 4-week CertTESOL and began her teaching career.
She gained experience working with leading companies in Turin, including Fiat, Intesa San Paolo and ENI.
After two years, Jennie relocated to Germany, where she continued teaching English at language schools and businesses such as E.ON, SIXT and the University of Applied Sciences in Munich.
In 2013, Jennie returned to the UK permanently and continued working in private language schools, initially in Abergele, North Wales, then in Edinburgh, Scotland.
In 2019 Jennie earned her Diploma in TESOL with TESOL Training Scotland, which sparked a passion for integrating pronunciation into her lessons to achieve improved results for her learners.
In 2020, Jennie founded her own online language teaching business, Excellence in English Education, focussing on helping non-native teachers build confidence in using English in the classroom, with a focus on pronunciation and effective classroom communication.
In 2024 Jennie became a certified Neurolanguage Coach, enhancing her ability to guide her learners in setting personalised goals, leveraging neuroscience and applying coaching techniques for greater success.

Ceri is a ceramicist making pots and plant stands in her WASPS studio, in Perthshire.
Jon Bishop | Illustrator
Jon is AKA The Grey Earl is a full-time illustrator, creating artwork for children’s picture books and producing his own ranges of greetings cards with a distinct sense of humour that appeal to both children and adults alike.
